New L2 Deck for Fall

Derek Anderson has come thru for L2 again on a new board design. This one is to promote "hometown pride". This is not a KC Chiefs bandwagon idea...this deck was in the works wayyyyy before the Chefs (yes we call them chefs) went 3-0.

Anway, Derek has 2 L2 designs now. The first was a huge success...so we figured why quit a good thing? Derek is tha man and a hella good skater.

So come pick up a new shop board from L2 and support hometown KC pride. They are only 35bucks. Shaped similar to Girl Skateboards and all are size 8.0".

Holiday shopping time nears!

Damn Kansas weather. Its gonna be freezing cold here in a couple weeks. This means winter is right around the corner. Its time to focus on Black Friday Sales and Christmas Specials. The shop will be working on some good deals for all you skaters out there!

Old Man Skate Sesh

Last Friday I (Christian - Level2 owner) Steve, Jay and Level 2 Skate team rented the KC Indoor Skatepark for a late night "Old Man" Sesh. It was a blast. It had only been about 20 years since I had skated an actual indoor park. It took me about an hour or so of rolling around and sizing up the ramps but eventually decided....Fuck it!

I managed to hit up the 5ft Mini and various other drop-in points. I know this is easy as hell for about 99% of the skate community but given the number of years and board size (I skated a 10" Sims Buck Smith back in the day) speed wobbles were somewhat of an issue.

Anyway....skated for 5hrs and only left a bit of elbow skin on the mini...so over all.....it was a success.

Cant wait to hit the indoor again. I fucking love skateboarding. All old guy skaters in the KC area need to hit up the KC Indoor park for the next Level 2 Old Man Sesh...and lets get this shit kicked off proper!

Another in the bag

Just got back from the Lenexa skate jam. Lots of future skaters out there trying to kill it despite the heat. I cant believe how skateboarding has changed in 20 years. In 89/90 when I was a kid on the scene we got jeers....today the kids get cheers. In 10 more years it will be a highschool sport. Ok well maybe not.

Lenexa Skate Jam 2010

Level 2 Skate Company will be hosting the Lenexa Skate Jam 2010 / Waterfest helmet safety event this year. Please come out and show your support. The Pilots Club of Lenexa will be giving away FREE HELMETS and Level 2 will also be giving out free product.

The Event is at the Lenexa Skate Park (on 87th Street in Lenexa, KS)

The demo starts at 12 and ends at 2pm.

New Shop Board

Ok...So I had a rough go a few months back with a bunch of my team leaving me for another skate shop. I went from 7 team skaters to 4 in like 2 weeks.

Anyway, to show some respect for the guys that held on tight...I decided to reward their support with a team deck.

Its a first try but still pretty dope.
